Data Content

Our global data warehouse contains comprehensive business information for approximately 50 million businesses in more than 200 countries. We have the largest U.S. database in the market with more than 18 million businesses represented.

The Austin-Tetra Data Model

The majority of Austin-Tetra's data on business entities is created by aggregating data from multiple sources.  Many of Austin-Tetra's data sources are data aggregators as well, making Austin-Tetra's data model uniquely a global "super-aggregator" of B2B information.

By selecting sources of data, both global and domestic, that have proven to be best-in-class for the data that they specialize in, Austin-Tetra is able to distribute the best available data to you.  The record we present relates to a specific site location of a business entity and is formed by "layering" data from multiple sources and presenting selected elements from the various sources that have contributed data.  Our customers find that we are able to provide superior depth and breadth of coverage relative to our competition.

The central point of control for all of Austin-Tetra's data collection, maintenance, and dissemination is the A-T Number®.

The A-T Number®

The A-T Number® is Austin-Tetra's distinctive nine-digit identification sequence, which links you to a wealth of quality information products and services available from Austin-Tetra.

The A-T Number® Can:

  • Become a common classifier or identifier for invoices, requisitions, payments, shipping, customs clearance and other business documentation
  • Reduce operating costs by linking interrelated suppliers and increasing purchasing power
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within the same corporate family
  • Eliminate duplicate file entries and build your own value-added customer and supplier information warehouses
  • Streamline your electronic transactions and simplify communications with your trading partners
  • Tap revenue and customer service opportunities by uncovering prospects and linking related customer accounts to support a "one-customer" view
  • Clarify existing data, eliminate duplication and show related businesses
  • Provide complete view of prospects and customers by placing businesses in corporate "families," identify penetration and opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell
  • Enable you (and Austin-Tetra) to aggregate large amounts of data
  • Standardize, organize and consolidate information

In addition, Austin-Tetra's research department proactively tests and updates the companies in our data warehouse through direct research to ensure that the most complete information is available for decision-making.
